About this tutor

I have worked as a Paraprofessional at a Colorado Springs District 20 Middle School in the CSD Special Education department. I worked with children with autism, communication disorders, and learning disabilities often. I am currently enrolled at CSU as a freshman majoring in applied physics.

I offer tutoring services for test prep, math, language arts, and science for all grade levels.

I adapt my tutoring strategies to the needs of the individual child and am experienced with the use of visual aids and other non-verbal methods of instruction.

I love working with funny, unique, goofy kids who make me laugh. I also greatly enjoy figuring out the best way to break down complicated ideas into simple and easy to understand steps.

As a teen, I assisted in the homeschool education of my younger brother after his schizophrenia diagnosis made public school difficult for him. I began working officially as a paraprofessional in 2021 before leaving to continue my own education in physics.

I have worked with students with schizophrenia, autism, ADHD, and low verbal comprehension. What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Do you learn best through visual, verbal, or written instruction? To what extent do each of these help or hinder how you absorb information? What are your goals and expectations for yourself and for your teacher?
