Meeting informally to learn each one's strengths and weaknesses as well as discovering where the greatest obstacles are.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 20 years as a college instructor as well as three years teaching English in Puerto Rican high schools. As a student I tutored extensively, usually being paried with ESL students

Look for two attributes in the person: a level of comfort but more importantly, a display of competence in the field.

What do I need? What do I want? How can I strike a balance between the two?
