I'm a 27 year old USC grad with over 8 years experience in private tutoring across all math subjects (from basic elementary math, to Calculus AB/BC), as well as English & Advanced Writing, and general study and test taking skills, plus SAT prep.
I'm passionate about academic development, and I'm passionate about my growth of my students. I absolutely love being able to positively influence their educational experience, and witness first hand an eventual sparking of confidence within themselves.
I personalize and tailor my tutoring style to the individual student, depending on their learning style, retention patterns, and strengths/weaknesses with the material and course at large.
I always say that the session doesn't end when the hour or second hour passes, as I'm truly invested in each individual student and their performance in the classroom. I believe it has a direct impact on their self-esteem, and their confidence in their intellectual abilities.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start each session with any new student with a five minute conversation to get to know them on both a personal and developmental level - their personality, their attitudes toward the material/course at hand, their current study habits, where they feel they can improve, etc - as these are all factors that determine how I will conduct each session, and tailor my teaching style.
I feel that establishing a level of trust between the student and teacher early on is imperative for the student to not just enjoy attending the sessions, but also to feel genuinely excited about the progress made.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've had over 8 years experience in private tutoring across all math subjects (from basic elementary math, to Calc AB/BC), as well as English & Advanced Writing, and general study and test taking skills. I've also taught SAT prep, and assisted with college essays and various elements of the application process.
I've worked with over sixty individual students, and fifteen families, each on average for 6-12 months at a time.
I graduated the University of Southern Califorina with honours (magnua cum laude) in 2013.
