About
I have been helping students in maths right from my school days and chose a career in teaching after completing my engineering and management from reputable institutes as I love teaching. I begun my professional teaching career at my own institute in Mumbai and have taught hundreds of students in the last 10 years . Most of my students love my way of teaching and my sheer patience to break the problem in the simplest possible way and give many examples so that the concepts are forever ingrained in their minds. As stated in the Bagvad Gita that if a student doesn't want to learn than God himself cannot teach him, similarly I just need the will of the student to learn and I will make sure that he understands what he requires.
I completed my engineering from DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai with distinction and my Masters in Business Administration from Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, both of which are affiliated to Mumbai University.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally, based on what are the requirements of the student, I would evaluate him/ her on that topic and then would give an estimate on the number of hours required for him /her to attain the required level of proficiency.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is as follows
Grade 6 to 8. - $15 per hour
Grade 8 to 10 - $18 per hour
Grade 10 to 12 - $20 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
We are a family of teachers who own an educational institute in Mumbai. I wanted to teach right from my school days and after completing my education I decided not to take any college placements but rather teach at my own institute.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught students of different intellectual levels right from students who excel in studies to the ones who find it hard just to complete the grade they study in.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have been able to create interest in mathematics in one of my students who used to dislike mathematics and often use to argue about the need for studying it . Today, she does find the subject difficult but believes in herself and the need to attain a level of proficiency for her own good.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advice the student to keep his /her mind open before selecting a teacher for himself of herself.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I don't think the student has to think through questions before talking to his / her teacher as a student - teacher relationship should be open to any questions that comes to his / her mind and provide a relaxed and conducive environment of learning.
