About
With over 20 years of instructional experience, both in the classroom and over the internet, I know how to help unlock the potential every student has. I have experience working with neurodivergent students as well, including my own kiddo.
I really struggled with math in school but had a teacher who just changed my entire perspective in the subject. I want to share that experience with other kids who are struggling. Math makes sense, we just need to know how to present it. In addition to my focus on math, I am a published writer who enjoys sharing my love of reading and writing with students. I have helped a range of students feel more comfortable expressing themselves through the written word.
I have a current parent/volunteer background check on file with the Evergreen School District.

understanding math. She made it a very pleasant experience... one my girl looked forward
to, instead of dreading or fighting it. We highly recommend Mrs. Andrews and will use her
again if the need arises.

matter of fact manner. Has a good sense of humor and has helped my daughter with
math immensely! She enjoys doing her math now and that is a huge change. My
daughter is gaining confidence in math and I am so grateful to Mrs. Andrews.

Advanced Math courses. She is upbeat and enjoys working with high school students. She is
consistent and dependable and knowledgeable. All six of these kids went on to college and
succeeded in their math courses there. We were homeschooling and I did not... Show more

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to make an assessment, usually try to to get a feel for the student's strengths, because that's what I want to build on. I also like to know the areas where the student needs a stronger foundation because I want to incorporate their strengths into how we help build them up elsewhere.
