What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start out with a 10-15 minute phone call to really assess what the student's needs are and how I can best assist them. This also provides me, and the client, with the opportunity to determine if needs and abilities align.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified K-12 educator.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $35 an hour for tutoring services. If students need curriculum created I ask they compensate me for 30 minutes of preparation time. If they prefer an in-home tutor I ask that families compensate me for 30 minutes travel time.
