About
There's nothing more relieving than solving that one math problem that you've been stuck on for hours. Through my tutoring, I want to help students improve their math skills so those problems won't look so daunting! Furthermore, I also want to foster a feeling of confidence for students, as it is a pivotal part of math studies. More about myself:
-Student at Gonzaga University studying computer science
-2 years of tutoring experience when I was in high school
-Nominated as a Spokane Scholar representative for Central Valley High School here in Spokane

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to first get to know my student's personality and interests. It's especially nice when we can find things in common and build a friendship off of that. Then I like to find out the things that they feel like they're struggling with and help them tackle their concerns.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a college student, I actively take math courses so the material is fresh in my mind and my math skills are up to date. I also have past experience as a volunteer tutor while I was in high school.
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring people when I was in high school and I realized that I enjoyed doing it. Tutoring allows me to help fellow students while also giving me the chance to review materials and keep my skills sharp.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't feel sad or discouraged because you need help in math. It isn't an easy subject and the fact that you're brave enough to ask for help is really cool!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
-Where exactly am I struggling?
-Do I understand HOW I am getting my answers?
-Do I understand WHY I need to do this to get the answer?
