Math Tutoring

I have been one year ahead in math, have received an A in every math class I have taken, and have recently placed into a college math course as a junior in high school. I have achieved high scores on the SBAC, PSAT, and WAMAC tests. I just completed Algebra II / Trig my sophomore year and am confident in my understanding of the material up to that point. I work well with kids of all ages and have experience in helping students ages 9-18, including those with developmental disabilities, as well as my own classmates and friends throughout the years. I believe it is important to and do my best to help students understand the material that is covered, so they can perform well on tests and build a foundation that will make learning future concepts easier. I understand that each individual learns best in a different way and, as math came naturally to me, I am able to explain things in a variety of ways.

I enjoy working with kids and making a direct impact in their education. I like seeing students understand material that they may have struggled with and caused them to feel hopeless in the past or given them difficulties in the future. I try to connect with my students and work to create a relationship and an environment in which students should feel they are not judged and are comfortable to ask questions and hopefully begin to enjoy (or at least tolerate:) math.
