Katie J. says, "Yuval is undoubtedly the best tutor I've ever worked with. I took Physics 2 (my hardest subject) at Columbia this spring. With Yuval's help over the course of the entire semester, I was able to score high As on every exam and a high A on the final. He goes above and beyond in every way. He was patient and responsive, worked to make himself available whenever I needed his help, and tailored his tutoring style to my needs. In addition, Yuval made videos outside of our time together to help me grasp topics I was struggling with. Without his help, I absolutely would not have been able to do nearly as well as I did. I have recommended him to everyone I know. If you are looking for a tutor that will blow you away with their intelligence, humor, and commitment to your success, Yuval is definitely your guy!" Hi! I’m Miguel, a Carnegie Mellon grad and current mechanical engineer at Amazon. I specialize in math, engineering, and standardized test prep tutoring. As a student with ADHD, I know how tough it can be to stay focused and keep up. I’ve learned strategies that helped me succeed—and I’d love to share what works and help you find your own path, too. I started tutoring back in college and absolutely loved helping others build confidence and clarity. I'm getting back into it now because I miss the joy of seeing students succeed. Whether you're looking to boost scores, untangle tricky math problems, or just need someone who gets the struggle,

I've tutored students, K-12, for 7 years now in subjects from AP Physics and Calculus to SAT and 3rd grade English. Especially since working with younger students, I've developed more awareness and appreciation for different learning styles and paces. Thoroughness explanations, sensitivity to feedback, and discourse are important to me in the learning and teaching process. It is so rewarding to be able to see a student grow in confidence and appreciation of a subject, and this is my goal in tutoring....

Macy L.
My situation was unique. I had serious epileptic seizures during high school resulting in multiple brain surgeries and a long, challenging recovery. Matt entered my life during this time; I still had assignments to complete before graduation and an impending SAT exam, so I met with Matt twice a week and learned the essential concepts of writing and reading comprehension. While math was my strong suit, Matt helped me identify some earlier math concepts that needed refreshing. My initial SAT score prior to my relationship with Matt was 1260, but, after tutoring, I received a 1510 and was accepted by my school of choice for pre-med studies. I continue to meet with Matt two or three times per week during my undergraduate studies for more advanced writing strategies. I cannot imagine a better academic mentor than I have found with Matt.
