Hi! I’m Miguel, a Carnegie Mellon grad and current mechanical engineer at Amazon. I specialize in math, engineering, and standardized test prep tutoring. As a student with ADHD, I know how tough it can be to stay focused and keep up. I’ve learned strategies that helped me succeed—and I’d love to share what works and help you find your own path, too. I started tutoring back in college and absolutely loved helping others build confidence and clarity. I'm getting back into it now because I miss the joy of seeing students succeed. Whether you're looking to boost scores, untangle tricky math problems, or just need someone who gets the struggle,

He has a unique skill set with expertise in a wide range of subjects, along with the flexibility to alter his teaching style to best suit the student. My situation was unique. I had serious epileptic seizures during high school resulting in multiple brain surgeries and a long, challenging recovery. Matt entered my life during this time; I still had assignments to complete before graduation and an impending SAT exam, so I met with Matt twice a week and learned the essential concepts of writing and reading comprehension. While math was my strong suit, Matt helped me identify some earlier math concepts that needed refreshing. My initial SAT score prior to my relationship with Matt was 1260, but, after tutoring, I received a 1510 and was accepted by my school of choice for pre-med studies. I continue to meet with Matt two or three times per week during my undergraduate studies for more advanced writing strategies. I cannot imagine a better academic mentor than I have found with Matt.
