About
Even as a student myself, I always enjoyed helping my classmates work through our math problems. It can be challenging to understand where another person is in their understanding of a concept, but I love that challenge! I want to work with students to understand where they are, what piece of the concept doesn't "click" yet, and figure out how I can explain differently to help that student learn the concept and be able to apply it on their own.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I am currently a water solutions engineer for a private design firm. As an engineer, most of my work requires critical thinking and problem solving. I would love to have the opportunity to apply these skills to help struggling math students gain a better understanding of the concepts and greater confidence in their own ability to learn and problem solve.
