Logan's Math Tutoring
About
Math is something that has always come easy to me. In highschool I was two math classes ahead of most people in my grade. I am currently an Electrical Engineering student at UW Tacoma. In order to be accepted into the major, I had to first pass Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Differential Equations, and Matrix Algebra. In each of these classes I got a 3.7gpa or higher. In my major, I've been required to use many of these skills on a regular basis, so they're fresh in my head.
I've always enjoyed being able to help others understand stuff. This is especially true with math. I've found that succeeding in math can be incredibly rewarding and I hope to help others achieve this feeling as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to find out what my student struggles with. Sometimes this is just a single concept and sometimes it is a broader spectrum of concepts. After finding out my student's struggle(s), I will begin to solve walk-through problems with them. During these walk-through problems, I will move slowly and carefully explain the process I am using to solve them, making sure the student understands each step I am doing. After this, I will challenge the student to try and solve the same types of problems on their own, during this stage I will provide hints if needed. If the student runs into any struggles during this stage I will note them down and continue to test those areas until the student is fully competent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Relevant College Courses and final grade:
Calculus 1 - 4.0, Calculus 2 - 4.0, Calculus 3: 3.7, Differential Equations - 3.9, Matrix Algebra - 3.9
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25/hr.
How did you get started teaching?
My desire to teach began from helping friends and classmates in highschool/college. In my junior year of college, I was looking for a summer job and decided that tutoring would be perfect.
