Hello! I am Kate Miller, a certificated K-8 teacher, with 10 years of experience in public schools. I tutor in reading, math and classroom catch-up across all subjects. Working with children ages 6 - 12, who need extra support or don't succeed as readily in a traditional classroom setting, my goal is to encourage students and make learning fun. I utilize games, movement and multi-sensory methods to reach my students. After being in the classroom for many years, I understand how challenging learning can be, and I love meeting learners where they are, in order to help them succeed!

Kate immediately created a safe, welcoming space for my child. They especially love how she incorporates *fun* to break up the *work*. Making schoolwork feel fun and possible is no easy task. As a parent, I feel supported in my concerns, and excited that my kiddo looks forward to doing her homework with Kate. It’s felt right since the beginning and I’m so grateful for her tutoring!

I met Kate when she was my daughter’s first grade teacher. She was able to genuinely connect with my daughter and meet and challenge her in ways which allowed for wonderful academic and personal growth. Kate cares and it comes through in all she does.
