I am a licensed high school math teacher and I have been teaching for four years. I am currently halfway through a masters degree in Mathematics Education. I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics and I would love to help you finally understand math!
I enjoy bringing students out of the mathematical darkness. Math anxiety is real and I like removing that stress from student's and family's lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to establish a relationship with a student first. I will let them know about myself and hope to hear some about them. Then I need to establish where their current level is and fill in any missing gaps.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a high school teacher for 4 years. I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. I am currently working on a Masters degree in Mathematics Education.

Yes, I charge by the hour. Pricing depends on content area.
How did you get started teaching?
I got a job in Roanoke, Va out of college and have learned so much about mathematics and teaching it in the past four years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students at all levels. I have worked with English Language Learners as well as taught inclusion classes to students with Individualized Education Plans.
