I pride myself on teaching my students how they learn. For example, if a student needs to have equations repeated to them in order to learn, I have them rewrite and reread the equations until it is second nature. My business is based on increasing confidence while teaching.
Hi, I am Sarah and I am a virtual writing tutor at Write Confidently where we focus on building confident, consistent and creative writers. I work with 9th-12th grade, undergrad and graduate students, professionals and everything in between.
What sets me apart? I spend a good deal of time instilling confidence in my students. Learning to write isn't just about being given quick skills to accomplish the next task. I work independently as a tutor. Initially, I worked as a teacher in Jamaica W.I. for 33 years; teaching students ages 3 - adult. My approach to tutoring is Student Centered: I assess them, identify appropriate teaching/learning material, plan and execute lessons in a pleasant, professional manner. I employ strategies that I've tested, and the results empowered my students to be successful in tasks being presented.

We are three high school students. You are probably thinking "that's unprofessional, why would I want my child to work with them?" Our answer to that is we ourselves are still technically children and we personally know how intimidating it can been trying to learn when an adult is correcting everything you do, this is why kids tend to ask help from friends in class rather than the teacher. So we like to create friendly relationship with our students so they feel like they're just getting help from a friend which makes they more comfortable asking for help and more likely to succeed.

I'm a recently graduated senior from Harvard College, looking to help students with their Math and English skills, in either standardized testing or coursework. I graduated with honors in History and Literature, specializing in American Studies, and I will be attending Cambridge University in the fall to pursue a master's degree in American History. As an avid reader of fiction and historical nonfiction, I have great faith in the power of the written word to transport a reader to different worlds and encourage empathy with people with vastly different experiences. While my academic specialty is in the humanities, I am also experienced in tuto
