About
I graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. During my time at ODU, I worked as both a teaching assistant and a tutor for the math department.
As a teaching assistant, I led recitation-style discussions to reinforce course material, provide additional examples, and answer student questions. This role also allowed me to work closely with students in the classroom, offering hands-on support to help them better understand the concepts.
As a tutor, I worked with a wide range of students in the tutoring center, assisting with homework, test preparation, and general questions. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that everyone learns differently, what works for one student may not work for another. That’s why I try to explain a topic multiple ways and also relate topics to real world scenarios!
I also believe in breaking problems down step by step and clearly explaining each part of the process. This approach has been incredibly helpful in my own studies and has made a big difference for the students I’ve worked with.
I’m excited about the opportunity to support you and help you reach your math goals!
