About
We are a group of best friends attending William & Mary and UVA who bonded over our academic work ethic and our love of tutoring. We have been tutoring through our school's official tutoring programs, but we see the online Tutors.com community as an audience where we can make a more impactful difference (since most schools have gone online recently).
Maxwell's Bio:
I have been tutoring through word-of-mouth and through Tutors.com since I was a sophomore in High School, and every year I love it more. I have over 100 hours of experience in math tutoring and I am aiming for 100 hours of experience in training other tutors. I began this Tutors.com profile years ago and I periodically re-evaluate the other employees working with Maxwell's Math Tutoring. If your child does not improve past expectations AND begin to love the subject at hand, then your money is refunded.
Philip's Bio:
PFC (Private First Class, Army) Philip Andoh here. I will do whatever I can to serve your tutoring needs. My earliest tutoring experience was in 5th grade, where I reached out to my elementary school peers to boost their math, science, and spelling bee confidence. I've tutored through large corporations, but I prefer the closer connections that I foster with my tutees while working with Maxwell's Math Tutoring. At William & Mary, I am in ROTC, I major in Psychology, and I am a dormitory Resident Assistant. In my free time, I attend leadership courses, where I further improve my ability to cultivate excellence in my tutees.
Kaelan's Bio:
I love helping others reach their full potential. As the oldest of 5, I spent my teenage years assisting my siblings in various academic subjects. Additionally, as a National Honors Society member in high school, I frequently assisted underclassmen with their school work. I excelled in teaching English and History, specifically regarding essay construction. Non-coincidentally, for my major at the University of Virginia, I am part of the History Distinguished Majors Program. While most students view essay construction as a chore, I perceive it as an opportunity. I love developing perfectly flowing sentences and I can not wait to do the same for your children.
Luke's Bio:
Hi, I'm Luke and I'm a full-time assistant--I will help you with anything. After babysitting for 2 years and managing my local pool for 3 years, I love nothing more than cheering others up. As my side job, I attend William & Mary and major in International Relations (I specialize in Economics and Chinese). I've been tutoring my friends for a while now--it's time to spread the love! --Luke
