About this tutor

I tutored calculus 1, calulus 2, calculus of several variables, linear algebra, and differential equations in college. I tutored those courses for 2 years

As a kid math didn't come redily to me. In college I had a professor that taught algebra in a way that reached all of her 180+ students.

I took that to heart and endeavor to teach in a way that speaks to the individual understanding of my students.

I'm so grateful to be able to take advantage of having Matt as my tutor. He helped me to bring up my grade and pass an extremely difficult class that involved statistics. Matt is an excellent tutor and I would highly recommend him for any age level from an elementary student to a late geriatric learner, like me!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When tutoring a new student I assess where they are at in their math skills and go from there. If it is a temporary need (an assignment or test) I make myself available until goals are fulfilled.
