Hello! It is such pleasure to have the gift to help others grow. I have been in education for over 15 years as tutor, mentor and teacher. Most of my experience are with elementary students with a special focus in grades 4-5th. Each student will be provided an assessment and given an individual growth plan that is inlcuded in your fee.
Seeing growth and learning to the extent where you are able to understand and apply what you are learning is the most rewarding part of what I do. I have special passion and gift for helping others growth by meeting them where they are..

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students will first begin with a acculumative math assessment to measure strengths and areas of growth. I will create lesson plans that are tailored to the student's level and area of growth. This plan may be altered at parents request.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an educator for over 14 years. I am currently a licensed teacher and work with SOL standards as well as very familiar with common core.
How did you get started teaching?
I went to school to become an educator and also received my license in educational leadership.
What types of students have you worked with?
Elementary students grades 3-5 are my target students. Math is my area of expertise.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Having a tutor you can feel free to make mistakes with because it is part of your learning process.
