Hello students! I have been a certified teacher for nine years now. I truly enjoy teaching and it makes me smile to see my students grow academically and achieve their educational goals. During my nine year teaching career, I have taught elementary, middle, and high school. `I have taught elementary math, science, english, social studies and reading. In middle school I have taught English, Math, Science and I am currently teaching AVID. In high school I taught Freshman English.
I enjoy being able to create fun and engaging activities that challenge students to achieve academic success. I have so much joy in seeing students make improvement as students and seeing their academic performance and self esteem grow as they mature as student learners.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process is first establishing a rapport with the student by getting to know the interests and what is their learning style. Once I become familiar with those things it helps me to strategize my instruction that best suits their academic needs.
