In total, I have had over half a year of teaching experience. I also am TESOL certified. I have experience teaching in-person classes as well as online classes. I have a great passion for teaching students and motivating them to reach their goals! I often help students achieve their goals by including activities, providing positive feedback and by personalizing the lesson to tailor each and every student's individual needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to get to know the students individually and evaluate their academic level to assess what needs to be worked on. I also like to do icebreakers so new students feel less shy or nervous.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a current tutor for ALO7 teaching children ages 5-18 varying levels of English. I have also been an instructor for ID Tech camps at Trinity University teaching various subjects pertaining to the STEM field to children ages 7-18.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My pricing system is as follows,

30-minute session - $9

Hourly rate - $18

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching since high school, I always loved teaching others and seeing them progress! I started teaching as a profession in 2018 when I started as an instructor for ID tech.

What types of students have you worked with?

All different types of students! I have worked with ESL students of various ages and students wanting to learn in the STEM field.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A student of mine that I have taught for a couple of weeks was answering a question about whether an orange was healthy or not, and suddenly he pulls out an apple and turns the question to me. It gave me quite a laugh!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Pick a teacher based on your personal needs and who definitely has a passion for teaching! Pick based on passion because those who have passion can have a great impact on your life and can help you enjoy a subject much more!
