About
For the past ten years, I have tutored from colleges to private firms and have noticed one thing. Tutoring is a relationship with the student and family. A true understanding of a subject is through showing the student the value of the material. What can mathematics do for your future? Why does it apply to you? Why is understanding this subject relevant? Figuring out the student and their goals are crucial to be an effective tutor. I have mastered this craft and would love to share it with your child.
Personally, I love solving different problems daily. I am not the type of person that can do the same thing daily. Tutoring has allowed me to do this fulltime. Lastly (but not least), I have a true passion helping others. This is my way of doing that.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $50/hr. I try and meet all of my students needs and budgets. Depending on their needs and hours needed per week, I design a custom plan for them.
How did you get started teaching?
I have younger siblings whom I've always tutored growing up. If they did not recieve A's in their classes my mother would take away my video games and TV!
What types of students have you worked with?
All age groups!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really enjoy when my students reach their goals. One of my students Biance made close to a perfect score on the SAT. We worked all summer for her to achieve this! This opened up her many scholarship opportunities and options when selecting a university.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you enjoy working with them!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You really need to understand what troubles you are having in the subject matter. You must make an effort to try and understand on your own. Sometimes it will be hard, but trying is the key to success! Once you do that, the questions for me will be clear and specific. In return, this maximizes our time and work flow together.
