About

- As a Senior in Aerospace Engineering at A&M who took many advanced placement classes in high school, I understand exactly what students need in order to succeed in their coursework and prepare for the future.

- I have been tutoring students in Plano and Richardson of all ages since I was a sophomore in high school, and have successfully helped students pass credit by exams for math and spanish courses.

-In my high school academic career, I have been recognized as a National AP Scholar and a National Merit Commended Finalist.

-Although I do not have any degrees yet, I have shown my expertise through my AP exams. I have scored either a 4 or 5 on the following exams:

1)AP Calculus AB

2)AP Spanish Language and Culture

3)AP English Language and Culture

4)AP Biology

5)AP US History

6)AP World History

7)AP Human Geography

8) AP English Literature and Culture

9) Spanish Literature and Culture

10) Physics C: Mechanics

11) AP Macroecomics

13) AP US Government

I enjoy helping people reach their academic goals and instilling a love of learning in everyone.

I love turning around people's perceptions of subjects which they have previously disliked. Seeing those test score improvements and positive attitudes is so rewarding!

Myna does an excellent job of explaining concepts in a way that my daughter can understand. I am impressed with the progress made as a result of their time spent together. Myna is exceptionally bright, responsible, and organized. She is an incredible role model!

Frequently asked questions

I ask them what their strengths and weaknesses are, do a diagnostic test to confirm those strengths, and then begin to work on material from there!

I have taken AP college level courses and exams on all of the subjects which I teach.

I usually charge $35/hr for all AP Courses and SAT/ACT Test Prep, and I charge $30/hr for everything else. If multiple sessions are booked at once, I have discounts for that as well.

My mom tutros quite a bit of math, and when she got too busy, she would offer me the opportunity to tutor them as well- I have always loved sharing my knowledge with people and will continue to teach for the rest of my life.

I have worked with students ranging from elementary age to college freshmen. I have worked with students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles, and I love meeting new students!

A few months ago, I helped a 6th grader who is a non-native Spanish speaker prepare for an exam to skip Spanish 1 and 2- this exam is only designed for native speakers, however, the student was able to pass the exam and will be taking Spanish 3 honors in the fall!

I would say to make sure that you feel comfortable and get along with your tutor before scheduling more sessions- just because a tutor might have mpore degrees, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are more proficient in the subject which they tutor and can effectively teach. A genuine human connection is needed before a student can even begin to absorb information.

Students should think about their learning styles, their past experience with the subject, and their study habits. This will help students make the absolute most out of their sessions.
