About
I have been turtoring math for eight years. I have worked with families, middle school, high school and college students and the feedback I hear the most is how I make each student feel. Words like "motivate", "engage", and "patience" are most used in their feedback. I make sure to build each studen't confidence in understanding the material and doing well in class. I also believe in affective connection, having a good interpersonal relationship allows my students flourish academically.
- I enjoy seeing my students succeed at a topic they were once struggled in. It is very fulfilling. I will be using visual aids, books, guide, worksheets, and problem sets to ensure that my students effectively understand diffcult concepts.
- I have been teaching for 8 years, since in high school. Most of my clients were from referalls. Now, I am trying to expand my reach through services.com
- I train and develop employees on effective communication, productivity, and workplace safety. It is different from my individual tutoring. I enjoy having to train large groups of diverse people in my workplace because I am always teaching something new and I learn from their unique stories.
- I am a junior stuyding Management and Statistics at SMU Cox School of Business. I am Microsoft Excel Certified and Bloomberg Certified. I am in SMU on a full ride scholarship, made the dean's list every semester, and I won the Star award at my work place.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to introdue myself and learn more about the student. I would like the student to tell me why they need extra help and what their goals are. I also want to know the length of the tutorng (academic year, semester, or as needed). I tell the student/parent what my tutoring entails and what they should expect from me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I study management and the most relevant coursework I have taken is Educational psychology, which is a deep course that explores the various ways students learn, the psychology behind the way they learn, and the behavioral pattern each students exhibit. I learned classroom management, cognitive leraning, social learning theories, and stages of brain development in children.

Be open to share your areas of difficulties so that the teacher knows how to assist you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
