I am a Elementary math teacher who specializes in all student levels of need. I enjoy when students finally say that math clicked for them, and that is my goal for each new student I tutor! Math can be hard, and since I struggled as a child...it has been my goal to bring joy to the challenges of learning.
I have been teaching for 4+ years working with the babies and the older children on various subjects. I am certified GT, ESL, and SPED training for alllevels! I am skilled in virtual learning during these strange times. I excell in challenging the student just enough to push them with their learning. It can be hard to try, so by bringing fun skills and strategies as well as repetition, your student will make major growth during our time learning together. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process for working with students varies. I first measure where the child is at and see what struggles they are having. Usually the child struggles with the strategy they have learned to solve. I can work from the basics such as letter- sounds etc. Additionally, I can work with higher level students to challenge them more in their schooling. Once I get to see a child and see what they need I develop a plan to assist them with growth and comprehension on the subject.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
4+ year Elementary Educator. I went to TCU (Texas Christian University) for 4 years in Fort Worth and received my Masters in Education.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on the needs of the student. If a child needs extensive work I will charge more for extra planning and keeping track of growth with my data planning binder. Standard learning and resources will be provided.
How did you get started teaching?
Teaching runs in my family and it is my passion! I enjoy teaching and have been around it/ doing so for 6+ years!
