Zarah’s English Tutoring
About
Because I am a young tutor at the age of 18, I am able to teach children/adolescents in a much more causal and comfortable manner. I am able to get along with several age groups in an open, friendly way and can teach others with what I have personally learned in school.
I enjoy seeing others progress in their struggles as a way to reflect on themselves not just academically, which is why I love to tutor children in areas they need extra assistance in. My goal is to help students become more confident in their goals, whether it has to do with school or personal character.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'm always very nice and patient with new students. I like to learn their capabilities and likes so that I can incorporate them into the way they learn. I take things slow and apply their skills to further improve their abilities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a college student. I have taken 2 English Composition classes and excel in grammar and editing. I have also taken 4 years of Spanish and can help students with basic Spanish language.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually have a standard price of $15 per session, but I am flexible and am open to other options, depending on the travel and amount of tutor lessons per week,
How did you get started teaching?
I have always been helping children become better in reading and writing ever since I was a child myself. I would help children in younger grades from my school, and it soon progressed to helping children in my neighborhood.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children that do not speak fluent English or have trouble putting words together grammatically. I have also helped students improve essays and their literacy structure.
