About

I am a lover of mathematics. I believe in student's should learn to the basics by using the basics such as pencil and paper and then level up to calculator use, so that they gain number sense and how to apply what they have learned to the next level of mathematics.

I graduated in the top 25% of high school class in 1999.

I graduated from Texas State Technical College in 2007 with an AAS in Environmental, Health and Safety.

I later returned to school to fulfill my passion of becoming an educator and I currently a senior majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with my concentration area being Math/Science 4-8. My expected graduation date is December 2019.

I love math and I want students to love math as much as I do.

    Frequently asked questions

Typically I start where a student is at, having them a work a basic problem in their subject area will help me assess  their level of understanding of the subject.

I currently hold an AAS, have been a substitute for BISD for over 5 years, complete 60 hours of classroom obeservation and currently a senior undergraduate with a concentration in math and science grades 4-8.

My pricing will start at $20 for the first hour and $10/hr for an extra hours.

I have only taught in the capacity as a substitute and as a classroom observer. Currently working towards completing my certification exam this semester.

Seek a teacher that is positive about the subject area they are teaching and will be honest if they too do not have the answer instead of giving false information. Seek a teacher that will emphasize your strong points to help you improve with your weaknesses.

A student should have an understanding that no question is dumb, that no matter how many degrees a person has we are all still learning.
