Children actually look forward to meeting with me. One student actually improved her math grade from a C to an A. She also earned best improved I science and social studies at the end of the year. Her self-esteem improved “leaps and bounds”.
I love seeing the the “light bulb go off” when the child understands the concept he/she is trying to improve. It is so rewarding.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I inquire about their interest if I’m tutoring them in reading. I ask them about their strengths and weaknesses.
Also, what they need improvement in. Most are comfortable talking about their concerns.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated Magna Cumladuda st H of H Clear Lake. Ive been working with students dice 2010. The past 5-6 years I’ve been working with Special Ed kids to help prepare them for the STAAR Test.

I ask students to read the material then ask them to summarize the passage. I ask students to take turns with me asking
