I have a passion for Math, and I help students understand concepts beyond just "doing homework". Additionally, I enjoy teaching grammar and reading concepts.
I am also an expert-level tutor for ACT & SAT test prep, and I have successfully tutored test prep students for over ten years.
I have been tutoring for many years and have many references if needed.
I like to first schedule a short 10-15 minute call to ensure we are compatible.
I love seeing the students when they "get it" and truly understand what they are supposed to do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to first "meet" a student with a short 10-15 min. phone call or Zoom session to ensure we are compatible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. in Math and an MBA, plus some PhD work. I have been tutoring in some fashion for most of my academic life, and I made my business official as a Tutoring company in 2008. I have been tutoring full time since, sometimes with more than 20 individually tutored students per week. I have also conducted classes and have taught in school settings.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
To hire a "good" tutor, make sure you can get along with him/her. Also, ask what his/her philosophy is and make sure it makes sense for you.
