About
One thing that stands out about my service is that I really try to have a deep understanding of the homework problems myself, to see how many ways I can look at it. This multi-perspective approach not only helps the student, but it can broaden my horizons as well.
I have a degree in University Studies, which is a great degree for teaching and tutoring. Also, having been a student myself-and not all that long ago- I know how a student thinks, and the ways one can get stuck on a certain issue.
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the joy and relief students get when they have that "lightbulb" moment.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I find out what their struggles are and work from there. I usually break down problems step-by-step and try to see how they see the problem.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a University Studies degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
