About
I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree for early childhood education and have flexible hours.
I love seeing that spark of interest when a child is learning something new. Kids can bring a totally new perspective and energy to the classroom and it is so fun to engage with them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am a hands-on teacher. Students will engage in games, projects, and discussion. We will get to know each other so that the child is comfortable, but the focus will be on academic growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently majoring in Early childhood education and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$40 per hour
English tutoring includes proofreading for papers (student will receive comments/corrections in less than 24 hours.)
How did you get started teaching?
I first realized I wanted to teach when I was volunteering in my daughter's classroom. The kids were so receptive and curious. Nothing can compare to seeing a person's excitement when they really start to understand.
What types of students have you worked with?
Young children (under 8)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Working on reading with a kindergarten child. When she started recognizing words, her confidence shot through the roof.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who will make learning fun. Kids have short attention spans and will not be able to engage content if it has no application.
