About

Hi! My name is Ms. Pamela, I am offering my 21 years of teaching experience for struggling students in my area. I am in the Windfern, Jones Rd, Perry Rd.1960, Jersey Village, Willowbrook, and Eldridge Pkwy areas, Houston, Tx. ~ I teach Reading, Writing, Computer Coding, Language Arts reading with phonics, writing, and spelling. I love to tutor, the one to one ratio is very rewarding. All the students that I have taught reading to have passed the STARR test. I guess I get more excited to find out their scores than they do. It is so rewarding to know that you have had a hand in helping a child to reach their goals. At this time I am a middle school Computer Science and Intro to programming teacher. I have taught grades 1-8, all subject areas. Math I only teach up to 4th grade. I am Tx. certified reading and tech apps. I teach in Aldine ISD. I have many reading programs along with technology to work with your child. I charge $40.00 to 45.00 an hour in my home, after school and some on Saturday afternoons’ I will work with you, your child and your child's teacher/teachers to ensure success. If you want your child to soar academically and have high self-esteem then Pamela’s Private Tutoring is where you need to be. If interested please email or msg me for an interview. [email protected] or msg me. I have a few spots available.

I enjoy seeing the students eyes light up when they actually get it, their eyes light up and they just take off learning with a passion. They want to learn more, especially when their confident that they can!

    Frequently asked questions

I meet with the parent and the student, we talk and see if I am a good match for their child.

I have a masters in reading. Prairie View A&M University.

I have a tech apps degree from the University of North Texas.

I have been trained at Rice University for Coding.

I have taught all subjects in the last 21 years.

My pricing depends on the individual child and their circumstance.

I tutor for 45 an hour usually, depending on how much or how little the students needs are.

I started teaching as a bad experience I had in high school. A teacher in the 9th grade told me I was stupid and I could never learn. He turned my chair around facing away from the classroom and I was humiliated. I had a learning disability that people didn’t recognize back when I was going to school. I swore I would never let this happen to anyone else, so I chose teaching to help the children who have disabilities not to give up! I didn’t.

I have worked with all kinds of students. I work in a title one school, and I help as many of my students as I can.

Students with Id, Ed and 504

    Intellectual disabilities

    Emotional disturbance

Other health impairment under 504 children with add, adhd, diabetics etc.

I have a child I am tutoring, he has made me so proud of him. He could barely read and after months of tutoring he was reading fluently. He really surprised himself! He became very confident and passed the STARR. He is amazing!

I would tell the student to meet with the tutor and see if they are comfortable with the tutor. You cannot learn from someone you do not feel comfortable with no matter how much education they have.

Students should think through how the Teacher will react? Is the teacher approachable? Does the student think that talking to the teacher will be effective?
