About

Hi! I live in the Willowbrook 249-1960 area. I Tutor in my home only. At Pamela’s Private Tutoring your child will receive one to one instruction. I am a middle school Computer Science teacher I teach in Aldine ISD. I have been an educator for 20 years I have taught Grades 1-8 I have many reading programs along with technology to work with your child. I have taught remedial math for elementary. I am Texas certified in Language Arts and ESL reading and testing. I am also a certified Computer Science teacher. I charge $40.00 – $45.00 an hr. in my home, after school and some on Sunday afternoons’ I will work with you, your child and your child's teacher/teachers to ensure success. I get as excited as the students do when they say "I Got it" If you want your child to soar academically and have high self-esteem then two eight one two five zero nine six zero three is who you need to contact. I'm sorry but at this time I do not do online tutoring.

I enjoy tutoring the most, I love teaching my computer science, but tutoring one on one is the most rewarding. When your student is happy to see you and want a hug when they leave you know they care and will learn much from you. I care for each one of my tutoring students. I treat my tutoring students as if they were my own! I love when they smile and say I got it or oh I see I see! Ms. Pamela! It makes me as excited as they are!

I have taught with Ms Davey, and have found her to be a caring, attentive, and passionate teacher who strives to have her students be the best they can be.

Pamela is very knowledgeable, and my child loves working with her. We started for reading, but she helps him with math and homework. Thank you Ms. Pamela for all that you do!

    Frequently asked questions

I meet with the students and the parent to have an interview just to see what's going on and if the child is comfortable. I have papers for the parents to fill out. This visit is free.

Then in the first lesson, I test the student for placement in whatever the student is having trouble with.

I have many programs for different learning styles

I charge 50.00 an hour. I am willing to work with parents who really need help. I Tutor in my home only - I do not travel -

I started teaching in Aldine ISD after I graduated from Prairie View A & M University, Cum Laude.

I started teaching because I wanted to help children learn, I know that all children can learn. You just have to know how they learn. I choose to teach in Title 1 schools, which I find rewarding.

I have worked with all types of students over the years. I have taught students with and without learning disorders, I have taught Esl and with students who spoke no English at all.

I have a lot of events that I am fond of, My fondest is a student who really looked like they did not understand a concept and I sat with them and went over it and explained it in different ways and my student finally jumped up and said "I got it" "I got it" That makes it all worth wild.

Hire someone that you can communicate with.

If you don't feel right with the teacher don't hire them.

You have to like the person you are going to hire or you will not learn a thing.

They need to sit down and list all of the things that they think their needs are. List the subjects that they are failing or doing poorly in.

They need to know what they want to learn and that they will learn.
