Hello! I am a fourth-grade reading and writing teacher who loves what she does. I am so excited to meet new students and families that love to learn as much as I do. I have experience in teaching ELL (English language learning) students in addition to English-exclusive students.

I love seeing my students learn to love learning; I get it - sometimes reading and writing are difficult and boring. In my class, however, we try to find what we are interested in, have important conversations we care about, and learn everything (even the boring stuff) as a family.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from Emory University (2020), and I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. I am currently a member of Teach for America in Houston, Texas which provides me with constant training and accessibility to resources.
