About
I committ to my students. I make time to meet when needed and have the student guide our session based on his/her needs. Feedback is provided to the parents after every session as well as information on what was covered. Open to constructive criticism, as I am an educator and know that students learn in different ways.
I enjoy those "ahh" moments when students make connections.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'm able to tell where the students' weaknesses are by working on their current math area, since math builds upon itself. We will not deviate from the students' current academic subjects and skills, but will build on current information while improving previous skills and making connections.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics as well as 9 years of teaching experience with HCISD. I worked as a math tutor for 2 years at UT Brownsville and have been tutoring students on an as needed basis since I started teaching.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 for a 1 hour lesson that allocates 15 minutes after to finish up thoughts and questions, if needed, per week. Price drops to $25 for a second session within the same week. Finally, price drops to $20 for a third session within the same week. Any sessions after number three within the same week remain at $20 per hour. Price includes travel expenses to meet your needs.
How did you get started teaching?
As a I worked as a Resident Assistant while in the university, I was given the opportunity to help one of our residents in College Algebra. After seeing her transformation from hating math to loving math and getting an A in her class, I realized I could probably help others change thier mindsets as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
From students that get sent to bootcamp on a yearly basis to advanced and college ready students as well as students already in college.
