About
I’m Chloe, a professional personal tutor with a passion for learning that I love to share — I’ve been told my tag line should be “let’s find out!” I’ve been tutoring test prep, English and math for six years and gotten some great results. I really enjoy what I do and strive to make a positive difference in my students’ lives.
I’m a native Austinite, but I lived in New York while I got my Bachelor’s in comparative literature (and minored in linguistics) at NYU. After I graduated I moved back home to Austin and got my Masters in global policy studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT. Now I’m in Fort Worth, with an MBA I picked up along the way (also from UT Austin) — apparently I can’t stay out of school for long.
As the oldest of three kids, I’ve been teaching informally for as long as I can remember. I also volunteered with Austin Partners in Education, where I worked with middle school students on reading and writing.
In 2013, I started tutoring to help pay for my wedding and discovered I was really good at it and enjoyed it. Since then, I’ve honed my skills and developed my curriculum to best serve my students and maximize their score potential.
I love to explore the world with others and help those around me discover an enthusiasm for learning that can make life so rewarding. I look forward to working with you and seeing what we can find out!
I love that as a tutor I get to collaborate one-on-one with my students. That way, I can make sure they really understand the subject by tailoring our sessions to resonate with each student. I feel the proudest when they embrace subjects or content that had been their worst nightmare before we started (we all have those!).
