About
As a geoscientist, I have been formally trained in subjects including (but not limited to) physics, math, geometry, and chemistry. I integrate and apply these disciplines on an everyday basis to learn about earth processes and other physical phenomena that affect our livelihood. It is crucial to develop a strong foundation in the basic core sciences. Such a foundation is often overlooked by some professionals, but I believe it provides the means necessary to understand more advanced subjects without being distracted or intimidated by all the details. Although my chosen fields of study have “geo” in front of them, I have ended up teaching simple algebra, mechanical physics, etc., to geology college students as a teacher’s assistant. This philosophy forms the core of my teaching style. Difficult concepts can be broken down into more manageable ones, that once clarified, can then be brought together.
