Coppedge Tutoring

I have been teaching math to kids for as long as I can remember. It was actually my first job at the young age of 14, tutoring a young 2nd grader who lived in the neighborhood.

After seeing how much of an impact I could have on someone's attitude towards math, I decided to expand it out into a full-fledged business while in college. After playing baseball and graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in business, I worked full-time as a math tutor after graduation for another three years. I worked mainly in Coppell and the surrounding Dallas area.

After solo traveling through Costa Rica and Europe in back to back summers, I got the travel bug and figured out how to combine my two passions: teaching internationally. I received an offer to teach at the International School of Manila in the Philippines where I was a middle school math teacher and varsity baseball coach. I spent three years teaching and coaching there where I was able to travel throughout Southeast Asia and get paid to do it.

While I had an amazing time in Manila, I wanted to try to do something more and was offered a job at Gideon Math and Reading to be in charge of the franchising wing of the company. I came back to Dallas in 2011 and have worked at Gideon for the past seven years. While the new challenge of working with Gideon has allowed me to stay close to education and math, I realized that I missed working with kids one on one and seeing how they can grow in confidence with their math skills.

Now, I am back into math tutoring on a part-time basis and I would love to get to work with your family.
