Zain Cheema

I'm passionate about helping students as it's fulfilling work that excites me. I truly enjoy seeing students learn and grow. Throughout high school, I tutored students one-on-one in various subjects, focusing mainly on math, especially geometry and algebra. I find that working with students allows me to make a direct impact by sharing what I know and helping them reach their own understanding. I graduated from high school in Austin, Texas, and I'm currently studying finance and data science at UIUC. I also have minors in sports and psychology. My favorite subject to tutor is math because it's been my strongest subject throughout my school years, and I enjoy breaking down complex problems into simpler, more manageable parts. My teaching philosophy revolves around building genuine connections and relationships with my students. I believe that learning is most effective when there's trust and open communication, so I aim to create a comfortable and engaging environment where students feel supported. Outside of academia, I love playing basketball and football, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
