What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I seek to understand what their challenges are in the class or subject and then work on any current material they have together. In this way, They are being guided in learning but also gaining the confidence to work problems independently.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a current second year graduate student in biostatistics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. I have taken introductory statistics classes and am in current masters level statistics classes. I also have experience in tutoring with Tutor.com for the past 6 months.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices are $25/hr for high school statistics classes and $30/hr for introductory college statistics classes.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started tutoring because I love helping people and applying my knowledge in a new way.

I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students as well as college students!
