About
I am currently a mathematics Professor at Concordia University Texas, and a researcher at The University of Texas at Austin. I specialize in teaching and tutoring Fundamentals of Math, Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus. I have over 10 years of teaching and mentoring students at the University level. I am also in charge of the Math Tutoring Center at Concordia University Texas. I was recently ranked as one of the Top Ten Tutors on Tutors.com. My students call my teaching style "amazing" and have said " Dr. Proft has an easy and approachable teaching style that focuses on elevating strengths and learning from weaknesses."
I enjoy working with young people who are eager to learn. It is very rewarding to see students succeed and learning to love math, especially those who previously were not confident in their abilities. Math is for everyone!
