Dual Learners Tutoring

At Dual Learners, we believe that when learners are enthusiastic about something, they are motivated to perform. The same is true for anyone who wants to achieve their goals. We strive to build enthusiastic learners in our program. Giving them the tools to be successful in this essential goal, starts with confidence.

After an Initial Assessment Analysis, we work on building their confidence with activities we know they will be successful in. This reinforces skills in order to create confident learners.

Then we work together to create learning goals to carve a path to success.

We empower them to make choices in their learning in a structured environment and use engaging, rigorous activities to learn the content. Learning is magical and we want all of our students to experience the magic that knowledge has to offer!

I am the founder, Ms. Erika Peña. I graduated from Queens College with a double major in Psychology and Childhood Education. I then went on to get my Masters in Special Education. I’ve been an educator for over 13 years. Nine of which have been working as a bilingual teacher. I have seen many learners who have resisted learning a new language or building their first one. These learners have always come out stronger in their love for reading and learning after working with me. I have also tutored K-6 students for over 10 years in the area of Math, Reading and Writing.
