Hello! My name is Janise Kent, and I am currently in my final year of my Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED) in Elementary Education. Over the past five years, I have gained valuable experience working in elementary schools in several roles, including paraprofessional, teacher assistant, interventionist, and fill-in lead teacher. These experiences have allowed me to work closely with students of different learning levels and backgrounds while supporting classroom teachers and leading instruction when needed.

Working with me means being in a classroom where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. I believe learning should be engaging, meaningful, and connected to students’ lives. I enjoy finding creative and hands-on ways to teach lessons, whether through collaborative activities, discussion, movement, or integrating the arts and other subjects into learning. My goal is to create a classroom environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and grow both academically and personally.

My passion for teaching actually began when I was in elementary school myself. I remember teachers who made learning fun and who truly cared about their students, and that inspired me to want to do the same. Since then, I have developed a strong commitment to helping children discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop a love of learning.

I believe I will do an excellent job as a teacher because I bring experience, dedication, and genuine passion to the classroom. I strive to build strong relationships with students and families, use engaging instructional strategies, and continuously grow as an educator so I can provide the best possible learning experience for my students.
