About this tutor

As a college student with a half scholarship to the Coastal Carolina University Honors College, I understand the need to be pushed by parents and other supportive figures during middle and high school in order to solidfy future success.

Studies have shown that the best way to commit something to long term memory is teaching others about what you learned. I have put this philosophy into both my business and personal relationships. The joy of learning is what keeps me motivated. I know, cliché but it's the truth!

The first step is to set goals and discuss how we can achieve those goals together. Then we start knocing those goals out piece by piece!

How did you get started teaching?

I first started teaching in high school. I was the assistant teacher for a middle school studio acting class. I have a great passion for the Arts.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students anywhere from pre-schoolers to high schoolers as well as special needs students.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

One big thing is thinking about what needs to be accomplished to pass this class or get an A or [insert goal here]. Everything should be goal oriented.
