I’m a dedicated teacher that maintains a genuine understanding of student needs, and motivates great performance. Students who come from marginalized socioeconomic backgrounds need dedicated, passionate educators. I teach Math, English, History, and the Science of Reading (Phonics). I am a current graduate student and certified full time teacher with 2 years of experience. I have experience with a variety of ages and grade levels, up to 5th grade. I have many years as both a classroom teacher and private tutor, tutoring full-time for the past 7 years, primarily at the high school level. Math is my specialty, but English, History and Science are close second favorites. I also work with students on their test preparation, executive functioning and basic study skills when needed. I retired from the nuclear construction industry, so have no problem with background checks, and am happy to provide references.
