About
I am a 4th year English and Writing Pedagogy student at Clemson university with several years of experience working in education and tutoring. I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels including: K-12 students needing extra support in reading and writing, college essay writing, and university students and adults looking to improve their skills.
I can provide tutoring in reading (including reading comprehension for ACT/SAT students), writing, and literacy. In addition to academic english tutoring, I have a 120hr TEFL/ESL Certification from Clemson University and can work with ESL students of any skill level.
Every student has unique needs and therefore deserves a unique approach. In our first free lesson, we'll get to know each other and talk about the goals you hope to reach through tutoring. This will allow me to create a customized plan for you, helping you meet your goals quickly. I also believe strongly in the importance of relevant instruction, everything that I ask of you throughout the tutoring process is important and meaningful to your instruction. Finally, I believe in the importance of having an accessible tutor. That's why I am always available for additional support via email between sessions! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and schedule your first free lesson today.
I have a particular passion for education and the good it can do for our communities and our world! I enjoy seeing my students make progress and become more confident in their skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start by assessing where a student strengths and weaknesses lie and pinpointing the areas where they need help the most. Assessing a student's recent work is very helpful but I also like to get information from the parents and the students themselves to see what they want to become more confident in.
