I am a going-to-be 11th grader with a 4.6 GPA and I am willing to tutor kids in Math, English, Biology, Spanish, and more! I also paint and dance in my free time, so I can help in that too! I love working with kids and I believe that I can break work down in a way that they can understand! I have a good attitude and patience when it comes to children. Some of my accomplishments are: I am top 20% of my class with perfect attendance, I've had almost all A's in highschool so far (the grade being a high B), I've maintained a high gpa while being captain of the colorguard team for marching band and participating in theatre, I'm a year ahead in Eng

I am a student majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry at College of Charleston, on my journey to medical school. In high school I tutored in the sciences as well as english and am picking that back up again. I believe that students need to find a style of learning that works for them and helps them truly retain information and my goal is to teach life long learning skills. When graduating from High School I had a 1250 on my SAT, a 29 on my ACT and a weighted GPA of 4.3 and this is because I was able to find a style of learning that worked for me. I believe that anyone is capable of achieving their desired grades as long as they are wil

I have been an elementary teacher for 15 years. I believe all children can learn, but education can't be a one size fits all. As a master teacher I am certified in both elementary and special education.
I have spent the last 8 1/2 years working with student writers as both a college professor and a tutor, so I have helped every type of student at every level. My work history includes employment at Trident Techical College, College of Charleston, and The Citadel. Not only am I immensely familiar with the standards of college and college-prep writing, I also treat every client individually. This means that I discuss their fears and worries about writing, diagnose issues, and explain how to address those issues so that the student is empowered to improve their writing in the future.

English and writing have been a constant in my life as long as I can remember. My father, an English teacher for over forty years, instilled a passion the craft that has only grown with time. I have an BFA in English, with a minor in Creative Writing, from Virginia Commonwealth University and have earned a TESOL certificate from INTESOL Worldwide. I have also taught creative writing workshops for both adults and teenagers since 2016. I have used my own writing in various applications, from obtaining $37,000 in grant funding for nonprofits in FY 2017-2018 to covering festivals for music websites. I have also had my work shown at London Zine Fe

I am currently an Honors College CS and Eng double-major at the College of Charleston and on the President's List :) I think my service will only be able to stand out in that I am currently in the throws of the academic world, and so will be able to easily identify with anyone needing help passing classes, general ed reqs and so forth. I also have three younger brothers who I help in similar fields (whether its science, math or english) in which overall student success is the name of the game :P I am currently in the process of getting a job at my college's writing lab, am tutoring Japanese for lower-level students, and am also a TA for my CS

For many students, difficult projects and misunderstandings sap the fulfillment from completing those projects. The endgoal, when this happens, no longer has anything to do with the process of learning; instead, they just aim to finish the work, usually as quickly as possible.
It's like doing a puzzle. When frustrated, students becomes so fixated on completion that they lose the necessary patience it takes to finish the puzzle, jamming pieces together until something resembles a finished product. Perhaps the biggest injustice here: the student won't look back on that finished picture with pride.
Learning is not just about finishing the

We were born and raised in the Bay Area and understand how competitive and difficult K-12 education can be. We love helping students reach their full potentials via peer tutoring!
We also appreciate having affordable rates (starting at $25/hr) so parents can schedule many tutoring sessions, getting more bang for their buck!
100\% of what clients pay goes directly to tutors, so we are also doing our best to supportive students who aspire to become educators and other working professionals!

I have a wide range of academic experience ranging from being a law student at the University of Edinburgh to participating in a Middle East studies program based in Amman, Jordan. Currently I am a political science/economics student at Wheaton College (IL) and can honestly say that at this point in my academic career I am by far not a perfect student, but I am efficient and passionate about teaching others about social studies, politics, foreign affairs etc. I joke that I am a repressed English major due to my love for writing and knack and grammar. I have tons of patience when it comes to teaching difficult English/writing concepts and love
