About

I started tutoring when I was a freshmen at clemson University and did tutoring for the university while I was there. I am also a native Spanish speaker. I can accomadate to teach in Spanish if there is a need for it.

I wanted to persue teaching since I was young. I think that working in engineering is giving me additional courses I can teach in the future. That is why I am currently a part time tutor and full time engineer.

He really did want you to succeed in your class and gave a lot of practical examples of test questions. He would run through the questions and have the students understand the basics and fundamentals about the questions.

He helped me a ton with Physics one and gave me a good foundation for later mechanical engineering classes. If I hadnt had his help early on I would have struggled a lot more later in my academic career. He is very patient if you dont pick up on things right away and very good at explaining complicated concepts. I would highly recommend.

Working with Jonathan was a great experience. He was very interactive with his students, provided help when needed but also challenged his students, and
was very enthusiastic about his work.

If I had a question about a specific problem or how to solve a type of problem, I was given a very detailed explanation of the approach and some tips of how to make solving the problem easier. The explanation was also put in a way that was easy for me to understand. Overall, it helped me a lot with my future math courses too!

I enjoyed having Jonathan as a tutor because of his patience and his ability to teach the material. In all honesty, I had no physics background from high school when he tutored me. Had it not been for him, I would have failed physics. Jonathan also tutored me in Calculus. His knowledge of calculus and general mathematical principals helped me to relate the subject, so that I could understand the material. 5/5 stars, would highly recommend.

    Frequently asked questions

Understanding where the student is currently is critical. Depending on the subject I may ask the student to try and verbally explain how they would go about solving a problem to also get an idea of their problem solving techniques.

I graduated with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering, and I was a tutor for Clemson University in Calculus and Physics

I am just starting out on this plateform so I will just start off at $25 and hour in some of the subjects I tutor but please visit my website for pricing informaiton on specifics or feel free to reach out.

Initially I was looking for a part time job while I was doing my Undergrad. I managed to continue it on and off but I only had students that other students recommended me to. A year after graduating I am no longer in the loop of who is in highschool or college

I have worked with Middle schoolers in math, highschoolers in Algebra one and two, Pre-calculus, and in college I have worked with traditional and non-traditional college studetns of all ages teaching calculus and physics.

Graduating was the most recent grand event I have had. It was a true event honoring my accomplishments the past few years

Be prepared to change perspectives. I have seen in my experience that the only reason a student does bad in one of these subjects has more to do with their perspective of it and not their capacity to learn

"Have I already tried to solve this?"

"Why am I having a hard time learning this subject"

These quesitons help me understand if you are really struggling with the material, the subject, or your perspective
