English Literature/Social Studies Tutoring
About
I have a wide range of academic experience ranging from being a law student at the University of South Carolina to participating in a Middle East studies program based in Amman, Jordan. I recently graduated from Wofford College with Cum Laude honors. I am efficient and passionate about teaching others about social studies, politics, foreign affairs etc. I joke that I am a repressed English major due to my love for writing and knack and grammar. I have tons of patience when it comes to teaching difficult English/writing concepts and love to give feedback on essays.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Building a relationship is the most important thing for me when working with a new student. Tutoring is not like any other job in the sense that you can clock in and out without being engaged with the work you're doing on a personal level. When I say this I mean that I take the time to actually get to know my students first and figure out what's important to them in their lives. I.e. passions for certain hobbies can generally be translated into academic success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have years of higher educational experience mainly in the social sciences so I have read and written many essays, research papers, legislation etc.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
By the hour would be preferred but I am flexible.
