About
I have been working with students of all ages for over 10 years. I am very proficient in teaching proper grammar, speech fluency, pronunciation, punctuation and writing skills. I have conducted classes for SAT preparation, title one summer school, worked with students with emotional and educational deficits. I’m very patient and empathetic and I believe in celebrating student success, rather than focusing on the negative. Through encouraging students to strive higher, I have been able to increase their desire to learn.
I have always had a genuine passion for children from the time I was young. I have raised 4 wonderful children of my own. I live for the moments a student finally grasps a difficult concept. Seeing the “lightbulb” go on is one of the best feelings ever for me, knowing I was able to assist a student reach beyond what he or she thought was possible! I make learning engaging and fun so that students retain information.
